Chin Community USA

Chin Community USA (CCUSA) was founded in 2002 to preserve and promote Chin culture and literature; unity and solidarity; growth in wisdom while improving our lives physically, mentally, and spiritually; growth for our people through nationwide events; and keeping the Chin community updated on news and events through social media outlets.

Executive committees are designed to support CCUSA and local and international communities.

CCUSA organizes and promotes events to support the overall mission and highlight members of the Chin community.

Chin Community USA gathers resources to support the mission of our organization and our members.

Our organization always appreciates the generosity and involvement of our donors.

Our Mission

We live in a connected world that is becoming more and more globalized. Our wish is for the Chin people to be able to adapt to modernization while keeping our language, culture, and customs alive. We are a group that values the pursuit of higher education and holds great admiration for those who always remember their humble beginnings.

Our Objective

Chin Community USA works with communities to provide support for increased income, improved nutrition and education opportunities for children, preservation of literature and culture, and social and humanitarian care, all to ultimately end world hunger and poverty.

Our Vision

For every Chin state to be self-sufficient and contributing members of wherever they call home, respecting our surroundings and contributing to make them better. Through the network of our community, we embrace new members wherever we go.

The Chin Community, USA Inc. was set up and organized by Chins living in the U.S. The ethnic identification “Chin” is used here to refer Chins from Burma who have been residing in the United States of America.

CCUSA strives to build community and address humanitarian concerns, all while protecting, preserving, and developing Chin culture and community now and in the future.

BUILDING COMMUNITY

Immigration is nothing new and many Chin people have migrated to different parts of the world in hopes of better opportunities and prosperity for children of the future. However, we hold strongly to our ties with one another and never fail to stay in touch.

IMPROVING ORGANIZATION

We want to strengthen the moral and spiritual integrity of the Chin people. Many of us believe and are inspired to live in fellowship with faith, compassion, and diligence.

HUMANITARIAN CONCERNS

We know the power of community. We know that when we focus on something as a group, great things can be accomplished. We want to do our part in helping rebuild areas of Chin State where making improvements can affect the quality of those still living in our old town homes.
